Thank you for choosing me

— and I am glad that I chose you.

There’s a thread—soft as whispers, yet unyielding as steel—that weaves through our hearts, connecting us in ways words often fail to capture. Friendship. It’s not just a word but a melody, a harmony that plays between souls when the world grows too loud.

You see, friends are not merely people; they are gardens where our laughter blooms and our sorrows find soft soil to rest in.

They are the steady roots beneath the ground when storms come rushing in. In their company, the skies of our existence feel less gray, and even the heaviest clouds can hold silver linings.

  • A friend is the cup of tea on a rainy evening, warm and comforting, even if unspoken words linger in the steam. YOU are the lighthouse when the sea of my life turns dark and wild, their light steady, their presence a map back to ourselves.

Friendship doesn’t always arrive in grand gestures or cinematic declarations. Sometimes, it’s in the quiet moments : the soft “Are you ok?” when the weight of the world sits on your shoulders. The shared silence that feels more like home than an empty room ever could. And oh, how magical it is that someone can step into your life and choose to stay—not out of obligation, but because they see your cracks and think, “Yes, this is where I’ll plant my love.” Friends are like sculptors, shaping us into better versions of ourselves, chiseling away self-doubt and filling the hollow spaces with belief.

When I was crying, thank you for being the arms that become walls against my chaos, your words are like a soothing balm. When you laugh, they’re the echo that turns joy into a symphony. You’ve seen my bruises and yet still decided to stay by my side and didn’t look away. You hear my fears and don’t shrink. By that, in my eyes, you’re a mosaic—imperfect, but breathtaking in your uniqueness.

I am aware that a friendship wasn’t supposed to be perfect, of course. It’s messy, tangled, and sometimes even painful. But isn’t that the beauty of it? A friend is someone who stays even when the world—or your own mind—tries to convince you that you’re unworthy. Funny like how come there’s someone who’s willing to hold the mirror and say, “Look, this is you. You’re radiant, even when you don’t see it.”

So, to YOU, the ones who laugh with me, cry with me, and sit with me in the quiet : Thank you for being the thread that binds me to the world when it feels like I’m unraveling. Thank you for making life a little less lonely, a little more beautiful.

Please stay with me forever, can you?

  • Not in the way that chains bind, but as the sun stays with the sky—always present, even when hidden by clouds. Be the steady beat in the rhythm of my life, the gentle echo that reminds me I’m not alone. Stay through the storms and the silences, through the laughter that fills the cracks and the tears that water the roots of who we are. Let’s grow old together, not just in years but in memories—folded and tucked away like love letters we’ll read over and over.

Stay, not because you have to, but because this world feels lighter with you in it, and my heart beats braver knowing you’re by my side. Stay, because some threads are too precious to let go. Because in the tapestry of life, it’s the threads of friendship that make it strong, vibrant, and worth holding on to. And I am endlessly grateful for every knot, every weave, every moment with you.

You are forever going to be the threads that I will never want it to be break.
